Photos of Mike's summer 2005 hiatus from Real Life traveling California from the southern tip of Baja California, Mexico to a few miles from California's northern border with Oregon with a group of European astrophysicists.
Highlights include SCUBA diving around Los Cabos, Baja, glissading down a mountain in northern California, (almost) stepping on a rattlesnake while hiking barefoot in Monument Valley, surfing perfect overhead Trestles (the surf was perfect, our surfING was far from perfect), and getting our rental car stuck in the sand in the middle of the Colorado desert in 120 degree heat.
